php.ini stops guardxt checks working 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I have 2 seperate accounts on justhost, both running joomla 1.5.22 and guardxt 1.0.4 . One of my sites works fine but the other doesnt.

on the site that doesnt work when i run the intial or check run without php.ini file in the administrator directory all is well, the checks run and i am returned to the guradtxt page. however after i have run the php.ini wizard i get an internal server error 500

Code:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster at mywebsite.co.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

, and in the server cpanel log i get

Code:

[04-Nov-2010 17:06:36] PHP Warning:  is_dir() [<a href='function.is-dir'>function.is-dir</a>]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/myaccount/public_html/..) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/myaccount/public_html:/tmp) in /home/myaccount/public_html/administrator/components/com_guardxt/utils.guardxt.php on line 57

the checks do run but i am unsure whether they complete and are just not returning to the guardxt homepage.

I have checked my configuration settings ie slashes and the locations are correct.

the only difference between sites is some lines in the php.ini (i can supply them if you want), the guardxt lines are the same except for the directories it references, and the other difference is on the broken site the php version is 5.2.10 , the working site 5.2.9 , both sites are running MySQL 5.0.91-community .

Have i done something really stupid?

any help would be appreciated.
