I get this error when I click on any icon in the control panel:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home/allie/public_html/libraries/phputf8/utf8.php on line 49

I am using Joomla 1.5.22

Any help is appreciated.

has this been corrected? i am having the same issue when trying to view the poll administration, but running 2.00.08. i did not have this issue before my update.

Sorry but my english is not good, this problem is because php_mbstring is deactivated. You need activated this extension.
