joomla 1.5.8 & pollxt 1.24.09 problems 4 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello everyone and happy new year,
Actually, I try pollxt v. 1.23 then I upgrade to v.1.24.09 R1 for the first time on Joomla 1.5.8, and now I have some problems or questions:

1- Compatibility problems: in the extension manager I have some compatibility problems remarks (red X) on the (pollxt component, mod_pollxt, mod_pollxtlist, pollxt plugin and pollxt searchbot plugin) and my site can work only on Legacy mode.

2- The old version was showing the voting in the site body just as an article and it was okay for me because I have some long questions and answers, but in the last version I can see the poll options only in the module body.
And my question: how to configure it to show the polls titles only in the module just as the old version.

3- I have two languages installed in my site (English > LTR & Arabic>RTL), with English it is okay but when I switch to Arabic poll options, answers, Images and free text align to left. Then I made some changes on .css file and delete all float: left;
But now all components align vertical, So, how to make it available for all RTL and LTR templates.

4- Pollxt administrator interface is very slow, I changed the images path to “/images/poll/” but when I dropdown the images list I get the result images from “images/stories/’ folder and I don’t know what is the problem when the administration interface still very slow

Can someone help me please with these things!?

Hi and happy new year,

some answers to your questions:
1.)There is not (yet) a Joomla 1.5 native version of pollXT, but I'm working on that.
2.)I think I don't understand the question exactly. Do you want to display the poll in the main part of your site? You can do that in the same way is in 1.23.
3.) I'll have to investigate that further (unfortunately I don't have any experience with RTL).
4.) You should put your images in a sub-folder of images/stories and change the path accordingly.

Hope that helps,

regards,

Oli

Hi,
would a "float:right" be sufficient? Can you provide me with a working RTL stylesheet, then I'll include it into the next version.
thanks,
regards,
Oli
