Static XT is really cool. But "all" it does is display a list of your static pages as links.

For me, this buys some time when constructing a mockup of how an existing site would look in Joomla.

But, because it's so quick and easy, it's easy to imagine many more features and uses. Here are a couple of ideas.

1) Strip off some user designated block of HTML that occurs in the header of all the files, i.e. so that your Joomla template is the template, not the HTML design from the old site. Is that possible?

I actually have some pages where it would be nice to say "just show tables 5 and 6"

2) Allow multiple instances, or create submenus or something...seems like the next level of extending the life of your "old" content onto Joomla.

Oli, do you have any plans for StaticXT?

Best,
Ken

Yes, I would like to see StaticXT as an tool to convert existing HTML or ASP website into Joomla!. That will make a huge promotion on Joomla usage. lol.
