Pay to Download XT 1.00.11

Pay to Download XT (P2DXT) 1.00.11 is available for download. The new version adds some new fields (e.g. you can now restrict the total no. of downloads or make the shipping address mandatory in paypal) and fixes some non-critical bugs. See the complete list of changes for details. Of course the manual was also updated.

Pay to Download XT 1.00.07

Release candidate 2 (1.00.07) of the "Pay to Download" component is available. It fixes some non-critical bugs and improves error handling.

Pay to Xownload XT" simply does what it says: Users have to pay to download certain files. Great, if you e.g. want to sell some eBooks. "Pay to Download XT" is a simple component that needs only minimum configuration.

pollXT 1.24.06 beta available

For various reasons it took a little bit longer than planned to release the next beta of pollXT, however now it's available for download .

Main changes are:

# fixed several special character issues (title, header text, select-box, email)
! Adjusted "Hide options" setting... it now really hides options (not the poll)
# fixed issue with different URLs (www.domain.com vs. domain.com)
+ added "if voting is not allowed" parameter
# fixed separator
# fixed PHP4 issue (could not create options)
# fixed minor issue with details display
# fixed not-ajaxed details button
# added workaround for several templates
# added workaround to eliminate huge gaps between options in IE

I'm pretty sure there are some more fixes, that I just forgot to note.

As always I'd be glad to get feedback in the forum.

Please be aware that this is still beta. However I think it's more or less stable now. There might still be some issues with PHP4, although I did some tests with PHP4 this time.   

Pay to Download XT 1.00.06

Pay to download 1.00.06 is the first official relase candidate of P2D XT.

Main changes to previous versions are:

• Now tested and validated with PHP4
• CURL support for servers that don't allow fsockopen
• added simple support for large files
  
• fixed several minor bugs e.g. in the transaction overview

The manual is of course also updated.

Pay to Download XT 1.00.03

And again a new version of Pay to Download. The latest version adds a transaction overview to the admin menu and fixes a minor bug with the plugin.

The manual now contains a quick introduction on setting up a test account on paypal and using it with P2D XT.

Pay to Download XT 1.00.02

I just released a new version of P2D XT. It fixes a minor bug and improves Payment Data Transfer Integration.

The new version now also supports a plugin to include P2D into content items. 

To upgrade to the latest version please uninstall the old version and re-install the new version (you won't loose any data when uninstalling)

Additionally I updated the manual . 

"Pay to Download XT" Component available

A first beta release of "Pay to Download XT" is available. Although there are a lot of paypal integration modules available none of them suited my needs. "Pay to Xownload XT" simply does what it says: Users have to pay to download certain files. Great, if you e.g. want to sell some eBooks. "Pay to Download XT" is a simple component that needs only minimum configuration. Main features are:

• Real accounts and test accounts (paypal sandbox) supported
• Simple configuration for Items to sell (Name, HTML-description, prices (price + tax and currency) and file upload)
• uses Payment Data Transfer (PDT) for security (status, e.g. confirmed or pending is not checked)
• Versios for Joomla 1.0 (also runs on 1.5 in legacy mode) and for Joomla 1.5 (native and/or legacy mode available)

"Pay to Download XT" displays the decription for the item & a paypal "pay now" button. By clicking, the user is redirected to paypal, makes his payment and is directed back to your site and - if the transaction was correct - may download the specified file.

pollXT - the family is united again

We've got a new release of pollxt 1.24 - and with this versions (almost) all family members are back again. With pollXt 1.24.02 you can also get the most popular add-ons: the module and the bot.

pollXT 1.24 is using ajax technology in the frontend and backend.

In the frontend you're now able to process polls without reloading the whole page. E.g. after voting the results are displayed exactly where you've seen the poll before. The rest of the page remains the same.

The ajax based backend allows intuitive and easy creation of questions and options for your polls, get it now from the download area and see yourself.
